The
Cassin Educational Initiative Foundation (CEIF) helps organize private,
faith-based middle and high schools in economically challenged communities
throughout the United States.
Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Cassin established the foundation in 2000
in order to bring Catholic and other faith-sponsored schools back
to
America’s urban areas.
The schools initiated with the foundation’s support must
be based on two innovative educational models:
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School of Chicago and the Nativity
Prep/San Miguel Middle Schools.
The foundation currently makes grants to the NativityMiguel Network and the Cristo Rey Network. CEIF provides
ongoing consulting support to grantees, and supports and takes an
active role in the promotion and governance of the central offices
of the Nativity, San Miguel and Cristo Rey networks.
